Food: Easy Homemade Chocolate Pudding
Wanting a treat, but want easy, with only a few ingredients? Say hello to chocolate pudding! This is a very basic recipe with only six ingredients!
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cacao powder
pinch of salt
3 Tbsp. corn starch
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
Begin by whisking the first four dry ingredients together in a stovetop pan. Once mixed, add 1 cup of milk. Whisk until smooth. Add the remaining milk and whisk. When smooth again, set pan on medium high heat on stove. Whisk for about 5 minutes, until mixture thickens. (This part seems to take forever and then all of a sudden, almost like magic, it will become thick!) Stir and cook for about one more minute. Now, remove from stove and add in the optional vanilla. Separate into four bowls. Try to let it cool for 20 minutes to serve warm, or put it in the fridge for at least a half hour and serve it cold.
TIP: If you don't like how pudding gets a skin on it, cover the surface with plastic wrap before adding it to the fridge!
